An After Party to Remember

We already told you how awesome Sofia and its nightlife are in a previous post, but you didn’t think we’d leave you on your own in the fun department, did you? We’re now ready to tell you all about the epic after party we have planned for the end of Day 1 (Oct. 8th). It’s designed to make sure you don’t miss out on any fun while you’re here, and to guarantee that you mingle with other attendees in the best way possible.

Food & Beer

We know you can’t think or have fun on an empty stomach, so delicious food and free drinks will be available from the very start of the party and throughout the night thanks to our amazing partners from PROGRAMISTA;. To make things as easy as possible, all after party events will be happening at the conference venue. Feel free to join the hackathon and game tournament, or just enjoy the food and drinks. The point is to have fun, and fun has no agenda.

Hackathon & Beer

After a fun round of JeoPHPardy, the Hackathon will start around 7PM. We’ve created several tasks to challenge your geekiness and to get you working on a common problem with some of the masterminds in the PHP community. You’ll be competing in teams of 4, and the winning team will get vouchers for the awesome Steam gaming platform.

We will be announcing the Hackathon task during the conference itself, but registration is already open, so hurry and sign-up if you want to be part of the fun. The Hackathon is open to all conference attendees and we have limited space, so the sooner the better.

Arcade Game Tournament & Beer

Around 8PM it will be time to have some good old-fashioned fun. In line with our Game On theme, there will be [Spoiler Alert!] classic arcade games at the conference. We will be picking one of them for the official arcade game tournament, where everyone will play individually. The rules are simple: the player with the highest score wins a PlayStation 4 provided by our top tier sponsors, thanks to which we were able to make the arcade game corners happen – Sucuri, SiteGround and Automattic.

Music & More Beer

While the dancefloor will probably be busy all night, we know it will get wild when the hackathon and game tournament are over, and absolutely everyone joins in. Our DJ will be there to bring out your best dance moves, so don’t forget your dancing shoes.
